Create processes for determining the most effective and efficient means by which asset risk can be controlled.
Collect and analyze data related to asset performance, reliability, and risk and generate reports and provide insights to management on asset performance trends and potential risks.
Ensure the Asset Risk Register is maintained and aligned with the Enterprise Risk Register.
Monitor the implementation of the strategies to enhance\maximize asset value and expand asset life span.
Develop processes to enable asset performance monitoring and control, including means of reviewing data, identifying emergent issues, and managing risk.
Undertake audits to ensure asset management activities are being undertaken as expected.

Support Quality and Compliance Managers to undertake assurance checks to ensure assets are being managed correctly. Assist in development and implementation of AMS digital tools like Enterprise Asset management and Digital Twin including integration with the wider digital ecosystem consisting of other DSO tools/platforms
Assist wider DSO team in determining the capabilities required to deliver effective and efficient asset performance and management of risk.
Assist stakeholders in understanding the impact of asset health and criticality on achieving organizational objectives
Establish the asset risk management system, ensuring integration and alignment with other risk management systems including the quality management system and health and safety management system.
Identify emerging asset risks and lead multi-pillar development and implementation of risk assessment and mitigation plans.
Participate in asset failure investigations and ensure that corrective actions are determined and applied in a manner proportionate to the risk.
Monitor asset performance metrics, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement.
Determine the asset information required to enable the determination of asset performance and risk.
Utilize asset information systems to determine asset performance and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and manage reporting that provides asset intelligence, allowing stakeholders to undertake interventions to manage risk.
Lead the identification of means by which asset information is most effectively and efficiently collected, including manual and automatic processes, on-site and remote collection, etc.
Minimum of 7 years asset management experience with in depth knowledge of the requirements of the electricity distribution industry.
Experience of developing and improving an ISO 55001 aligned Asset Management System in an electricity utility.
Familiarity of applying risk management frameworks, such as that described in ISO 31000.
Track record of delivering outcomes with strong ability to prioritize tasks in a highly dynamic and changing environment, with a focus on efficiency, enhanced multitasking abilities, combined with a “can-do” mentality are essential.
Experience in financial evaluation, work practices, risk management and regulatory compliance.
Highly experienced in risk management, and the balancing of cost, risk and performance.
Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills, including planning, organizing, and directing work in a collaborative style, fostering cooperation and teamwork in cross-functional teams.

Bachelor’s Degree in Asset Management, Business Management, Engineering or similar.
Postgraduate qualification in Asset Management, Business Management, Engineering or similar is preferred.
A professional Asset Management qualification is preferred.
Holder of, or working towards, professional registration such as an Asset Management Professional (AMP), Certified Practitioner in Asset Management (CPAM), or similar is preferred.
