Role Purpose:

The MYP teacher will endorse and practice the philosophy, pedagogy (including environment, learning, teaching and assessment) research and innovation aspects of the MYP phase and will work as an active member of the MYP team to ensure that the day to day running and development of learning at the NEOM Community School is carried out in accordance with the aims of the NEOM Education, Research and Innovation Sector. The underpinned core principles to achieve this vision include on-demand, connected mobility services, active mobility and micro-mobility, electric and zero-emission vehicles, autonomous shared mobility, public transit, and rapid transit. NEOM will attract investors to develop, test and scale innovative solutions to world markets.
Reporting to the Director of Regional & Urban Mobility, Regional & Urban Mobility Planning Manager will contribute to the successful planning and implementation of transportation projects underpinning NEOM’s vision to support the transformation to a truly sustainable mobility and integrated land use via urban design and innovative technologies. The underpinned core principles are on-demand and connected services orchestrating active and micromobility, electric and zero-emission vehicles as well as autonomous shared mobility and public transit. NEOM is a unique global living lab for innovative, safe, efficient, and on-demand mobility for all users and attracts investors to develop, test and scale innovative solutions to world markets.
The role demands stakeholder management, leadership and influencing skills to ensure the project is executed within time, cost, quality, and of course safety constraints to meet NEOM’s ambition.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

• Follow up on all actions required from internal and external parties.
• Lead constructability reviews and contribute to risk/value reviews for the design.
• Review and comment on all project schedules that are received from the various stakeholders and ensure all the milestone dates are coordinated.
• Develop and evaluate urban transit interface typologies and place making performances of the Line for vertical communities.
• Specify urban interface design guidelines and assess submissions by NEOM Urban Planning (master planning phase) and NEOM Projects (design phase) and its consultants (architects, master planners, mobility and transport consultants).
• Help specify and develop KPIs for Place Making and user experience metrics such as levels of service, first and last mile facilities and activation, approach safety, way-finding, comfort etc, for new vertical TOCs/ Place Making.
• Conduct urban and community impact assessment and forecasting with Mobility Planning
• Support the team to manage the consultant undertaking Advanced Spatial Analysis development.
• Manage the communication between multiple Land Mobility teams and NEOM sectors, to oversee various strands of concurrent master planning & architectural developments regarding multi-modal mobility.
• Internal and external stakeholder management including architects and design consultants.
• Implement and ensure robust systems for version control and information data management.
• Lead major multi-disciplinary transit planning and policy projects to further the development and implementation of regional transportation planning for NEOM.
• Provide creative network analysis, serving as a subject matter expert for issues related to transit and transportation system planning, policy, and analysis.
• Provide advice and consultative services to senior management of business units within NEOM on a range of transportation planning and policy issues.
• Manage and conduct different types of passenger rail/transportation studies – including feasibility, business cases, alternatives analysis, and functional planning – to develop infrastructure requirements and service concepts/designs, using a transit planning lens.
• Draft and implements project scopes, work plans, schedules, and other documents to support the delivery of the studies, including preparation of business cases.
• Oversees consultant assignments to ensure that projects meet budgets and schedules including negotiating fees, supervising consultant teams, approvals and contractual claims.
• Interprets data, policy, and study outcomes to recommend projects and strategies to senior management.
• Develops and delivers briefing, communication, and presentation materials for a wide range of audiences including senior management.
• Represents the Mobility Planning Team on inter-departmental projects and serves as a key point of contact, liaising with stakeholders and other departments.
• Facilitates stakeholder engagement by regularly liaising with internal and external partners regarding project development, administration, and implementation.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• > 10 years experience on professional projects with focus on urban analytics, network analysis and user-centric movement evaluation with some focus on transit-oriented and transport planning
• Good working knowledge of quantitative/ evidence-based methods for place making and masterplanning such as demand models, micro simulation (pedestrians and fleets) and network analysis.
• Experience (academic or project-based) of innovative zero-carbon mobility systems and their implementation such as autonomous vehicles, shared mobility, micro-mobility etc
• Strong organizational, project management and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines.

The Water Mobility Technical Manager will form close ties with the contracted Service Provider to ensure a high state of technical availability of all NEOM Water Mobility craft.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and creative self-starter who thrives in ambitious, international and fast-changing environments.

A keen interest to work on the forefront of sustainable marine technology and the future of mobility is vital for success in this position.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

• Work with the existing stakeholders on developing and implementing state of the art public water mobility services across NEOM
• Support the oversight of new build vessels and their introduction into service
• Oversee the technical performance of vessels to ensure they are safely and efficiently maintained to deliver a reliable service to customers
• Work closely with the Service Provider and vessel teams to verify that the routine and unplanned maintenance is recorded effectively
• Ensure that all defects are effectively recorded and tracked to resolution. Ensure guarantee defects are recorded and transmitted to vessel builder for rectification
• Provide analysis of any technical issues with a view to identify common issues, trends and translating this analysis into the adoption of a preventative maintenance strategy
• Work with a dedicated Water Mobility team
• In relation to Technical Services manage the interaction with external parties including but not limited to Flag Authority, Classification Society, OEMs, third party suppliers and shipyards.
• Carry out technical inspections on NEOM owned and chartered vessels.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Conduct demand data cleansing, cleaning and identifying and eliminating inaccuracies from data to ensure that the data repository of Energy is structured, accurate, complete, consistent, and cleaned from inaccurate or irrelevant records
• Identifying data quality issues and their root causes and coming up with recommendations to fix these causes in collaboration with the entity holding the data source

Reports and insights

• Develop dashboards with data visualizations of data points to show relevant and important insights
• Draft reports and presentations, including key insights and recommendations to support the review process and enable stakeholders in decision-making
• Offer insights of the data across the full energy value chain to support the decision-making process

Background, Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in demand forecasting

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Work closely with ENOWA and NEOM teams in charge of development of Energy, Water, Hydrogen and District Cooling projects by supporting the structuring and execution of partnerships and project finance transactions.
• Support the Innovation & Ventures activities of ENOWA.
• Interact closely with NEOM teams (Corporate Finance, Accounting, Tax, Strategic Finance…) and internal project stakeholders to provide finance and valuation guidance throughout the business development process, advising business development teams on alternative structures and expected investment returns.
• Coordinate accounting, consolidation, tax, treasury, reporting and corporate finance workstreams and requirements.
• Involved in the selection and appointment of advisors.
• Involved in commercial and financial discussions and negotiations with JV partners.
• Contribute to the drafting of project documents.
• Perform the financial modeling and analysis of the different lines of business supporting ENOWA long-term strategy decisions and development.
• Perform ad-hoc valuation and financial modelling activities.

Background, Skills

• Experience in Middle East infrastructure projects development or investment.
• 10 years minimum of applicable professional experience in infrastructure projects, project finance transactions with an investment bank, private equity fund or with a strategic player in Energy, Water, Utilities fields.
• Proven experience in modelling and valuation of Energy, Water or infrastructure projects.
• Deep understanding of valuation methodologies and risk allocation.
• Solid understanding of debt capital markets, deal structuring, M&A.
• Strong IFRS, Tax and Finance knowledge.

Support and strengthen the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) strategy at NEOM. Supervise the development of CEA assets and associated business cases. Evaluate and develop sustainable agricultural solutions for CEA. Develop and manage the execution of the innovation strategy for CEA including NEOM facilities and partnerships with Universities and private or public research institutions, in line with NEOM’s business needs. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

• Support, develop, and manage a business and technology-driven CEA strategy in line with NEOM Agriculture business needs.
• Supervise the design, development, and implementation of CEA assets – glasshouses and greenhouses, indoor farms – from selecting production systems, overseeing bids, and selecting vendors, to monitoring construction and commissioning, together with construction project management entities.
• In collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders, ensure the development of solutions for the capture, storage, and analysis of production data in order to optimize conditions that will drive productivity and quality.
• Develop and manage the execution of the innovation strategy for CEA including determining technology focus, developing pilot and research facilities and partnerships with Universities and private or public research institutions, in line with NEOM’s business needs.
• Maintain a deep understanding of strategic developments in CEA, selecting, validating, and implementing technology solutions that will ensure profitable production of quality products in line with market demands.
• Ensure seamless collaboration with relevant departments and business units to facilitate the development and execution of the CEA strategy.
• In coordination with the business development team, support the development of strategic relationships on CEA with relevant industry partners.
• Develop and lead collaboration with universities and public or private research institutions to further the CEA program at NEOM.
• Coordinate space allocation in the greenhouse and other controlled environments.
• Develop and enforce greenhouse policies, procedures, and rules with guidance from the Controlled Environment Committee.

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 10 years of experience in the CEA industry.
• Deep understanding of business and technology trends and strong professional network in Controlled Environment Agriculture.
• Evidence of holding multidisciplinary senior management positions in a multicultural or international environment.
• Passion for NEOM’s mission to deploy the latest technologies to reach Food Security in a desert environment.

Distribution System Operator (DSO) is the business area within ENOWA Grid responsible for owning and operating NEOM’s electricity system from 33kV to the customer’s meter. Participate in, lead, and develop elements of the Asset Management System (AMS) for DSO, recognizing that this presents a unique opportunity to incorporate best practice Asset Management to a greenfield 100% renewable energy fed distribution network.

Support all DSO sections to ensure a systemic approach to Asset Management, fostering a culture of cooperative working that supports achievement of DSO/ENOWA’s organizational objectives.

Strategy Development

Support the development of asset risk and performance management frameworks, ensuring alignment with corporate frameworks.

Determine how internally or externally generated historical data can be utilized to ensure effective and efficient asset performance.

Determine means by which asset risk and performance will be measured, monitored and controlled.

Asset Management Planning

Determine audit requirements to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the Asset Management System in coordination with Quality Manager.

Create processes for determining the most effective and efficient means by which asset risk can be controlled.

Collect and analyze data related to asset performance, reliability, and risk and generate reports and provide insights to management on asset performance trends and potential risks.

Ensure the Asset Risk Register is maintained and aligned with the Enterprise Risk Register.

Monitor the implementation of the strategies to enhance\maximize asset value and expand asset life span.

Implementing Asset Management Plans

Develop processes to enable asset performance monitoring and control, including means of reviewing data, identifying emergent issues, and managing risk.

Undertake audits to ensure asset management activities are being undertaken as expected.

Monitor the implementation of risk controls.

Support Quality and Compliance Managers to undertake assurance checks to ensure assets are being managed correctly. Assist in development and implementation of AMS digital tools like Enterprise Asset management and Digital Twin including integration with the wider digital ecosystem consisting of other DSO tools/platforms

 

Asset Management Capability Development

Assist wider DSO team in determining the capabilities required to deliver effective and efficient asset performance and management of risk.

Assist stakeholders in understanding the impact of asset health and criticality on achieving organizational objectives

Risk Management and Performance Improvement

Establish the asset risk management system, ensuring integration and alignment with other risk management systems including the quality management system and health and safety management system.

Identify emerging asset risks and lead multi-pillar development and implementation of risk assessment and mitigation plans.

Participate in asset failure investigations and ensure that corrective actions are determined and applied in a manner proportionate to the risk.

Monitor asset performance metrics, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement.

Asset Knowledge Management

Determine the asset information required to enable the determination of asset performance and risk.

Utilize asset information systems to determine asset performance and opportunities for improvement.

Develop and manage reporting that provides asset intelligence, allowing stakeholders to undertake interventions to manage risk.

Lead the identification of means by which asset information is most effectively and efficiently collected, including manual and automatic processes, on-site and remote collection, etc.

Minimum of 7 years asset management experience with in depth knowledge of the requirements of the electricity distribution industry.

Experience of developing and improving an ISO 55001 aligned Asset Management System in an electricity utility.

Familiarity of applying risk management frameworks, such as that described in ISO 31000.

Track record of delivering outcomes with strong ability to prioritize tasks in a highly dynamic and changing environment, with a focus on efficiency, enhanced multitasking abilities, combined with a “can-do” mentality are essential.

Experience in financial evaluation, work practices, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Highly experienced in risk management, and the balancing of cost, risk and performance.

Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills, including planning, organizing, and directing work in a collaborative style, fostering cooperation and teamwork in cross-functional teams.

Qualifications
